Finance Committee Meeting

Call to Order:
The Yuma County Airport Authority, Inc. (YCAA) Finance Committee Meeting of the Board of Directors was called to order at 12:00PM on June 30, 2021 in the Yuma International Airport Conference Room, 2191 E. 32nd Street, Suite 218, Yuma, Arizona 85365. The Presiding officer was Eric Saltzer, Chairman.

REGULAR AGENDA
1) Discussion and overview of FY21 Budget in the Final Quarter.
Ms. Brown, Airport Director, provided a presentation of FY21 Budget through May of 2021. There was a brief discussion about the excess of revenues presented as a result of a rebound in activity that was unexpected so early after the pandemic. The Committee expressed their understanding and satisfaction with the airport’s financial situation through May.
2) Discussion and possible recommendation on the Proposed FY22 Budget for the Yuma County Airport Authority.
The committee reviewed the Proposed FY22 Budget in some detail. After the presentation provided by Ms. Brown the Committee discussed possible future considerations regarding investment, expansion and effects additional revenues collected could have on existing tenants. The Committee agreed unanimously, to recommend the FY22 Proposed Budget for authorization at the July 113, 2021 regular meeting.
Before adjourning, Ms. Brown presented a projected budget which reflects staff expectation of how FY21 would culminate as compared to the budget. This projection estimated a significant excess of Revenues over Budget due to the recent uptick in activity as compared to the situation existing when the FY21 was prepared. Ms. Brown informed the Committee of her recent discussion with the Election and Personnel Committee about her decision to move forward with an investment in personnel as in previous years.
