Elections and Personnel Committee Meeting

Call to Order:
The Yuma County Airport Authority, Inc. (YCAA) Election and Personnel Committee Meeting of the Board of Directors was called to order at 8:30AM on September 22, 2022, in the Yuma International Airport Conference Room, 2191 E. 32nd Street, Suite 218, Yuma, Arizona 85365. The Presiding officer was Reetika Dhawan, Chairwoman.
YCAA ELECTION AND PERSONNEL COMMITTEE MEMBERS PRESENT WERE:

Dean Hager, 1st Vice President
William Fox, Director
YCAA ELECTION AND PERSONNEL COMMITTEE MEMBERS DIRECTORS ABSENT WERE:
None
ALSO PRESENT WERE:

Gladys Brown, Airport Director
Andrea Lopez, Executive Assistant
REGUAR AGENDA
1) Discussion, possible recommendation, and update on advertisement and procedures for the vacancies on the YCAA Board of Directors.
Ms. Dhawan, Committee Chairwoman, explained the upcoming year (2023), the YCAA has four vacancies; There are four incumbents up for re-election, 1st Vice President Dean Hager, Director Reetika Dhawan, Director Albert Gardner and Director Juan Guzman. All four have expressed their desire to be placed on the ballot for consideration. She then went over the timeline.
Ms. Brown, Airport Director, described the Committee’s role in the election process, which is established in the Authority’s By-Laws. application, the vetting process, and the informational presentation available to interested parties. Ms. Brown explained if incumbents are successful in the election, there will be no seat to be filled by any new applicants.
The Committee concluded that the application, advertising process and the advertisement met the needs of the YCAA.

There being no further business before the Committee the meeting adjourned at 8:58AM.
